Welcome to Anti-Communism Month!
GREETINGS, my fellow readers! I would like to introduce to
you today a very special project of mine, one which I have spent months
preparing for. I attempted this at first a year ago, but my blog wasn’t in the
right place for it to succeed. Furthermore, my knowledge and abilities hadn’t
developed far enough to make it impactful. This being the case, I have opted to
and prepared for the formal inauguration of Anti-Communism Month to reoccur
now!
Anti-Communism Month is, again, a passion project of mine
that has been on the books for a while. The theme of the event is evident, it
is a recognition of the evils, failures, and critiques of socialist/far-left
ideology. March is the month I have chosen for this to occur because in this
month five blows were dealt to radical leftism:
- Karl Marx died on March 14.
- Joseph Stalin died on March 5.
- The Republic of Lithuania was established on March 11, the first nation to secede from the USSR.
- Murray Rothbard, the great capitalist himself, was born on March 2.
- On March 9, 1776, Adam Smith first published The Wealth of Nations.
There
might be other historical events that occurred in March that could be
classified as “bad for communism”, but these are the five I know of, and
they’re pretty cheeky. In recognition of these events, I have made March
Anti-Communism Month, and for this month anti-communist actions will have a
special aspect to them.
On
this blog, Anti-Communism Month of 2022 will be observed through the
publication of several articles that pick apart at the foundations of radical
leftist ideology. I will also observe on it social media, such as Minds
and Twitter,
by the sharing of anti-communist memes and other media with friends who will be
helping me promote this event. You can participate in the same manner, by
posting memes and retweeting/republishing articles and other media that is
critical of this foul ideology (good sources on Twitter are @mises,
@TheHoppean,
@AccidentLiberty,
among others; on Minds, @MaxOgburn,
@VolAnarchist,
@SMetzeler,
among others; I am one, too).
I
thank everyone who helps assist this event by reading the forthcoming articles,
interacting with the forthcoming content, and putting in their own effort.
Socialism/Marxism/communism, collectivist anti-capitalism as all these
synonymous ideologies should be called, is a foul thing and has been refuted by
numerous skilled economists (such as Mises, Hayek, Böhm-Bawerk, Friedman,
Sowell, etc.). It is only kept alive by elitist
active measures and their
domination of academia and media,
which proliferates revisionist
and negationist propaganda that is anti-capitalist,
egalitarian, and pro-socialist in content. By promoting an informal holiday
recognizing its failures and proliferating factual counterpropaganda, we are
doing society a service.
So, I thank you all for taking the time to read this article, and I thank you for whatever efforts you undertake to help out with this inaugural Anti-Communism Month. I think a quotation from the scriptures is a good way to end, from Joshua 23: “One of your men put to flight a thousand, for Yahweh your God is fighting for you, just as He promised you” (v. 10). Since socialism is fundamentally anti-Christian, I believe God is on our side in fighting the cadres of socialism, in liberating the minds of His children from its deceptive promises. He will empower us that one alone may fight off a thousand socialist ideologues.
